Never worry about it again, learn how to apply eye make up

How to Apply Eye Makeup

Remember when you were younger and got into your mother or grandmother’s makeup for the first time. You have come a long way, from clown face to beauty. Today, there are so many choices when it comes to choosing eye makeup. Unless you are well educated, choosing the right makeup can become quite a challenge. Learning how to apply eye makeup like the pros will take a few tries but the results will be priceless. It will not take as much practice as I’m making it sound though. Almost anyone can learn how to do this once you learn a couple little tricks.

Eye Liner

Definitely, eye liner can make or break a look. Apply eye liner too thin and your eyes barely stand out, apply it too thick and it looks like you have been punched in the eye. There are two types of eye liners on the market, a liquid or pencil. If you have a steady hand liquid liner is the preferred choice because they tend to last longer. If you are not able to draw a straight line, the pencil might be a better fit for you. The pencil works just the same and there is more room for error. With a pencil you can also blend better for a softer look. When applying eye make up such as eye liner, start from the inside and work your way out. For a more dramatic look, extend the line above the end of your lower lash, this method will also help to give the appearance of a larger eye.

Eye Shadow

With so many colors available the choices are endless when trying to learn how to put on eye make up. Pick a few compacts that have several similar colors. These compacts are great for dressing the eye with a blending of colors. When applying eye shadow always start with a clean eye. It is best to use the lighter shade at the base and then your middle shade and darkest last. Remember not to overdo it though near the eye brow and always keep it below the brow bone. One of many eye makeup tricks is to blend the colors from base to brow, blend only on the outside of the eye. Blue eyes do well with blues and gold tones for contrast and brown eyes wear earth tones as well as a deep blue for contrast. Primers help to hold the shadow for a longer stay so if you have an event planned make sure to apply before heading out. Learning how to apply eye make up correctly will make your beauty stand out.

Mascara

When it comes to mascara, again, the trick is finding the one that achieves the look you are going for. You may want to purchase a few, one for lengthening and one for thicker lashes. Waterproof mascara is your best bet. Do not go cheap because cheap mascara will give you a clumpy look which is not very pretty to look at. Go for the established brand name. Let’s learn how to apply eye make up in the form of mascara. When applying mascara you want to start at the base of the lash going across the lashes left to right and wiggling the brush as you go. This will help to apply and thicken at the same time, while also removing any clumps, continue this process to the end of the lash. If you want to apply several coats, do it quickly, because as the mascara dries, going over it will cause it to clump. A mascara comb used during the process will also help to ensure the lashes are separated. For a longer lash appearance try an eye lash curler, they work great. Learning how to apply eye make up correctly will ensure that you are being stared at for all of the right reasons.
